INSET DAY

Please remember that Monday 4th November is an INSET day.  The children return to school on Tuesday 5th November.

BONFIRE NIGHT MENU

On Tuesday 5th November the advertised menu will be replaced by a meal of hot dog, chips and beans with a chocolate crispy cake for pudding.  A vegetarian option will be available as well as the usual baguettes and jacket potatoes.

ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

Poppies and Royal British Legion items will be on sale during the first week back to school.  Items are priced between 50p and £1.50 and will be brought around the classrooms each day.

RECEPTION – HELPERS NEEDED

The Reception classes need four more volunteers to accompany them to St Fagans on Friday 8th November.  Please let the teachers or the school office know if you can help them out!

AUTUMN TERM MENU

The current menu will be extended until the end of the Autumn term rather than stopping at half-term.

Please find the new menu, with dates, attached to this newsletter.

CHILDREN IN NEED 2019

We will be celebrating Children in Need on Friday 15th November.  Wear something spotty and bring a small donation!

HAVE YOU LOST…..?

There is a Night Garden Iggle Piggle toy, obviously well-loved, in the school office.  Please call in and collect it if it belongs to your child.

SCHOOL MEAL DEBT POLICY

May we remind you of our ‘School Meals Debt Policy’ which can be found on the school website in ‘Policies’ under the Parent Zone tab.

Meals should be paid for in advance, £2.30 per day.  A child may go one meal into debt on occasion, but if the debt is more than £2.30 the school office will contact the parent to either credit their ParentPay account or bring in a packed lunch.

It is easy to set a reminder on your ParentPay account by going to Communication then Alert Settings and choosing the level and method by which you would like to receive alerts.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

Our combined attendance this week was just 95.8% – our target is 96.3%.

Miss Harries’ class are the week’s best attendees in the Foundation Phase with 98.6% while Mrs Williams’ Y5 class are the KS2 winners for the second week running with a perfect 100%. These two classes will get a sticker on the graph and extra play next week!

REMEMBER—A DAY MISSED CAN IMPACT ON YOUR CHILD’S PROGRESS IN SCHOOL

PTA NEWS

Everyone should now have received their Christmas cards and gifts if they were ordered.  If not, please see your class teacher or contact a member of the PTA.

HALLOWEEN SWEETS & TREATS!

Thank you everyone again supporting the PTA.

AUTUMN NEON DISCO-6th November 2019

Tickets are still available. As this event is straight after half term we would be grateful if you would like your child to attend, you purchase your tickets ASAP for catering purposes. Younger siblings welcome but will need a ticket. www.pta-events.co.uk/sullyschool

BATH CHRISTMAS MARKET – 30th November 2019

We have had a great response from the local community and are pleased to confirm that this trip is now viable. There are a limited number of remaining tickets available on the PTA website. www.pta-events.co.uk/sullyschool

MOVIE NIGHT – 18th December 2019

Details to follow after half term – watch this space!

NATIVITY COSTUMES/NATIVITY JUMPERS

Don’t forget to have a search for any unwanted items over the half term, give them a freshen up and bring to school.  This is a new concept to us but has run successfully in other schools for years! Let’s help the planet and reuse, reuse, reuse!
