We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible, from Reception to Y6, at our Open Afternoons! They will take place on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th March. Please drop in for a 10 minute session any time between 1.30pm and 3.00pm.
Please come to the main entrance where you will be greeted by a member of our Year 6 and escorted to the hall.
Please be advised that your children will need to return to class after you have looked at their books together and they will be dismissed by their teacher at the usual time.
So far we have collected £1143.45 to support the NSPCC, a fantastic amount! Thanks to Francesca Williams and Rachel Brenan for their help on the day.
COAT HANGERS NEEDED…..
Miss Martin would be very grateful for any wire coat hangers that she could use for her Enrichment project. Please drop any donations in to Miss Martin or the school office.
The forms which need to be completed to request an absence from school or the administration of medicine are now on the school website under the Parent Zone tab. Paper copies are still available from the rack in the foyer outside the school office.
We would like to set up a lunchtime sewing club, so if anyone has a working sewing machine that they could donate to the school, we would be very grateful.
PHONES IN SCHOOL
Please can phones, ipads etc only be brought in to school for valid reasons. If they are brought in, they must be handed in to the office for safekeeping at the start of the day, and reclaimed at 3.20pm. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
We are happy to welcome Miss Gilmore back after half-term. We would like to thank Mrs Sommerville for covering for Miss Gilmore over the past weeks, she has been a very able and experienced replacement!
ATTENDANCE FOR THE WEEK
Our whole-school attendance figure for this week is 95.7%, below our school target of 96.4%.
Individual class figures were as follows:
So Mrs Best and Mrs Reynolds’ Y1 class is top of the Foundation Phase this week, well done! In KS2 Miss Price’s Y4 class had a perfect 100% attendance for the second week running! Both classes will have extra play next week and another sticker on the graph…..
Great news, the PTA now have a website where you can look at all our upcoming events and buy tickets.
This is going to make supporting the school and the PTA so very easy.
Please go online and register so we can send you news of any upcoming events and related offers.
Your child will have also brought home a letter today with all the details on it.
You can now easily support the school and join the 50/50 club at our website and pay online.
The more members we have the greater the payout!
£12 per year per number gives you 12 draws, 1 per month.
If we have 50 members, the lucky winner will receive £25 and the school gets £25 too!
Thank you to everyone that came along and supported the night, once again it was great fun with lots of laughter!
We raised £432 which is a great result.
