THIS WEEK WE….
Mrs Morgan took four Year 6 children to take part in the SE Wales round of ‘Cwis Dwlu Darllen’, an annual Welsh reading and recitation competition. The group did us proud, coming third overall.
Six girls from Years 5 and 6, accompanied by Mrs Heaton, took part in the Cardiff and Vale U11 Football Tournament. They performed brilliantly, coming fourth and winning a penalty shootout in the quarter finals!
Congratulations to all those pupils who took part in both competitions and represented Sully PS so well.
The ever-popular Chick Knits, sold in support of Velindre Hospital, will be on sale from next Monday priced at £1. Y6 children will bring them round to each class room daily.
To let your child’s teacher or the office know if your child is being collected by someone other than yourself and also let S-Club know if they won’t be attending as planned.

Quiz Night – URGENT ANNOUNCEMENT
We have made the difficult decision to postpone tonight’s quiz due to the unfolding Coronavirus situation. We feel this is the right thing to do for consistency with school policy and the understanding that many parents and members of the wider school and village community are feeling anxious or nervous about attending events during this time.
We will be getting a new date in the diary shortly and all tickets bought will be valid for the next date. If you would like a refund, please get in touch with our PTA rep who will organise this.
To be consistent with current government advice and school policy, we are postponing the Mother’s Day sale on Friday 20th March and cancelling the planned school discos on Wednesday 1st April.
Both events require a large number of PTA members and volunteers to be on-site in school and as per the letter that went out to parent’s yesterday, the school are taking measures to limit the number of external persons on site, to reduce the spread of infection.
The plan is to hold the sale at a later date, so we hope all the Mum’s won’t mind a delay in receiving their gift and can support this decision. The children absolutely LOVE choosing a gift for you, so we hope you will still be able to support the event in the future. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with wrapping and assisting the children chose their gifts, and of course everyone who has donated gifts to the sale to date. We will keep you posted about the new date ASAP.
For anyone who has bought a ticket for the disco, we will automatically organise a full refund.
PLAYGROUND GIFTS & SWEETS SALES
