OPEN AFTERNOONS NEXT WEEK

We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible, from Y1 to Y6, at our Autumn Open Afternoons! They will take place next week on Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th October.   This is a lovely opportunity for you to see some of the work your children have been doing and talk to them about their experiences and progress before your parents’ evening appointments the following week.

Please drop in for a 10 minute session any time between 1.30pm and 3.00pm.

Please come to the main entrance where you will be greeted by a member of our Community Cadets who are assisting in organising these afternoons.

Please be advised that your children will need to return to class after you have looked at their books together and they will be dismissed by their teacher at the usual time.

SCHOOL PHOTOS

The school photographer will be visiting this Thursday, 17th October.  Every child will have their photograph taken and bring a proof copy home in due course but you are under no obligation to buy a photograph.

Please send your child to school on Thursday in full school uniform INCLUDING A CARDIGAN OR JUMPER without which they will not show up against the background!  Nursery children may wear uniform or their own clothes as you wish.

If you would like a photo with a sibling who is not in Sully School, please bring them to the hall between 3.20pm and 3.45pm.

AUTUMN BOOK FAIR

Our Autumn Book Fair will take place next week, open from 8.45am until the start of school each morning and from 3.15pm to 3.45pm each afternoon, finishing on Friday morning. We do hope that you will come along!

STANWELL OPEN DAY

Stanwell School will be holding its annual Open Day on 15th October.  Interested parents, particularly of Y5 and Y6 children, are invited to drop in any time between 3pm and 6pm.

SULLY SAVERS

As Mrs Johns is unavailable due to work commitments, there will be no Sully Savers until the New Year.  Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

WEAR RED DAY

Next Friday, 18th October, in support of ‘Show Racism the Red Card’ we will be holding a ‘Wear Red Day’!

The Show Racism the Red Card Charity greatly assists us in the delivery of anti-racism education and if your child would like to donate £1 to this charity it would be much welcomed. However, pupils do not need to bring a donation in order to wear red. The more Red in school on that day the bigger the message!

Thank you for your support in this very important area.

INFORMATION SESSION

Miss Price will be holding an information session to explain the school’s approach to the ‘Development of Handwriting and Fine Motor Skills’.  This will take place in the school hall from 9.15am on Friday 18th October.  Parents of pupils in Nursery and Reception classes are particularly invited to attend, but if the parents of any children in Year 1 or Year 2 would like to come along then they would be most welcome.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

Mrs Heaton’s R/Y1 class are this week’s best attendees with an excellent 99.0% while Miss Price’s Y4 class and Miss Martin’s Y5 class are the joint KS2 winners with 99.2%. These three classes will get a sticker on the graph and extra play next week!

REMEMBER—A DAY MISSED CAN IMPACT ON YOUR CHILD’S PROGRESS IN SCHOOL
