Dear Parents/Carers

Summer Term

We are now well and truly into the summer term albeit a very different one to the summer terms we are used to. Even though our classrooms are currently empty, teachers are busy planning exciting learning activities for you to carry out over the course of every week. These tasks are visible for all to see on the class pages section of our website and are uploaded every Friday for the following week. Teachers are telling me how impressed they are with their pupils uptake of the activities and their commitment to completing many of the tasks. Please tell your child/ren that their approach undoubtedly demonstrates self-drive, resilience and independence and as such they should be very proud of themselves. As a staff we are immensely proud of all of them.

Whilst we encourage all our pupils to complete the activities set, the main concern for us at this moment in time is that you have a stress-free family life. We want to be very clear that the tasks and activities set for the children are intended as a support. Remember that nothing is more important than balancing your child’s engagement with these activities with a happy home environment. Everybody’s health and wellbeing are the most important concerns. Remember that children learn and develop in numerous ways not just through school-based work. Please find what works for you as parents/carers and as a family unit.

Thank you for completing the IT Equipment Parental Feedback form. If you find yourself struggling with the amount of IT equipment available within your house for your child/children to access their work on please email me at

Letter of Resignation
I imagine by now all of you would have received Mr Williams’ letter informing you of his decision to resign from the post of Headteacher of Sully PS. I am sure you will join us in wishing Mr Williams good luck in his new position as Challenge Advisor for Central South Consortium and in thanking him for his commitment and effort whilst leading our school.

Please rest assured, my staff and I will continue to lead this school to the very best of our abilities and ensure we maintain the high standards we have set over the past year.

Once again, we thank you for your support.

Stay safe.

Andrea Waddington
Acting Headteacher
