It was a busy start to the Academic Year! With fantastic support from the parent and teacher community, the PTA raised a little over £3,000 during the Autumn Term. In September we had an amazing response from the children who designed some fabulous Christmas Cards, Gift Tags, Tea Towels and Mugs, which were successfully delivered in November and raised over £700!
The Neon Disco and Movie nights were really well attended and again proved to be extremely popular events with the children, who had a fantastic time.
We also launched our Nativity Costume & Christmas Jumper sale. This was a new idea brought to us by a parent at the AGM and was very successful. It was a great way to recycle the costumes and jumpers that the children had grown out of, so do our bit for the environment, whilst also raising funds for the school. Watch out for this event next year as we are sure this will now become an annual fundraiser!
The Christmas Raffles were a huge success and were extended this year to the wider community via the SVG Christmas Fayre, allowing us to maximise the funds raised. We were incredibly grateful to all the parents, school supporters and local businesses who donated raffle prizes as without this generosity, the raffle wouldn’t be the huge success it was.
Phew! A great start to the year!
As you would expect, the Spring and Summer Terms are also jam-packed with exciting and fun events for everyone to enjoy and you can keep up to date with these via the school newsletter every Friday and your class WhatsApp groups.
