VOLUNTEER READERS STILL NEEDED!
The children in Reception and Year 4 are still looking for volunteers to listen to them read. If you can help them out they would be very grateful – please let the school office know.
AN ECO REQUEST
Sully School has been asked to decorate a Christmas tree using recycled materials this year. The ECO council have designed some amazing creations but we urgently need donations of empty plastic bottles (any size), cardboard tubes (kitchen roll, wrapping paper, toilet roll etc) and colourful magazines that you don’t want any more! Please send in with your child or give directly to Miss Price on the outside junior ramp before or after school. There will be several workshops next week for children to start making the decorations, so as soon as possible would be much appreciated!
PENARTH NATIVITY TRAIL 2018
Please see the attached flyer for more details.
As a school we value your feedback and so we would be grateful if you could complete a brief questionnaire by following this link:
Thank you in anticipation of your participation.
MEDICINES IN SCHOOL
The office staff are happy to administer medicines but a form, available from the office, must be completed and the form and the medicine returned to the office before this can be done.
If your child requires throat lozenges during the day, these must be handed in to the class teacher and requested during the day.
If anyone took plants from outside the Reception classes over the summer, please may we have the pots back for re-planting! Thank you.
ATTENDANCE FOR THE WEEK
Our whole-school attendance figure for this week is just 95.2%, which is well below our new school target for this year, 96.4%.
Individual class figures were as follows:
DG 96.7 %
So Mrs Heaton’s Y1/2 class is top of the Foundation Phase this week and Miss Martin’s Y6 class were the KS2 champions. Well done – these classes will have extra play next week!
We had some lovely cards designed by the children, you should have all received your orders now.
We made a great profit of £365.
Thank you for supporting this fun project!
