 A MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Mr Williams writes:

‘Dear Parents/Carers,

This academic year seems to have flown by.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank pupils, parents, governors and staff for the fantastic year it has been.  It is the time of year when we start to think of the future, this includes saying a fond farewell to Year 6 as they start their next adventure in Stanwell Secondary School.

Sully Primary School is a family and as such, our Year 6 are always welcome to visit our school.  We look forward to hearing about the many great adventures that await them in their future learning journey at Stanwell…and beyond.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a special thank you and goodbye to Mrs C. T. Williams and Miss J. Eaton.  We will miss the professionalism and companionship of these very talented teachers, however, we look forward to welcoming Miss Eaton back to school for 1 day a week in the spring and summer terms.

This afternoon, we celebrated the dedication and fun that Mrs Williams has brought to her role within the Sully Primary School family.  We all wish her a very well deserved retirement.

On behalf of all staff and governors at Sully, I hope that you enjoy a restful summer holiday and I look forward to welcoming many of you back to school on Wednesday 5th September.  Thank you for your support over the past year, I look forward to this continuing into 2018/19.’

GARDEN PARTY

Everyone at Sully School enjoyed Mrs Williams’ Goodbye Garden Party yesterday.

Thank you to all parents for your contributions, and special thanks to the PTA for paying for an ice-cream van to come to school and give all the children an ice-cream – they loved it!

Y6 PARENTPAY CREDIT

Any credit in Y6 leavers’ ParentPay accounts will either be transferred to a sibling if appropriate or refunded at the beginning of next week.

A REMINDER…

Please take a moment to complete the mental health questionnaire sent out a few weeks ago if you have not already done so.  Another copy is attached to this newsletter.

MUSIC LESSONS FOR Y2 TO Y6

If your child will be in Y2 to Y6 next year, then they may like to take music lessons in school.  If so, please sign up as soon as possible so that lessons can start with all pupils promptly in the second week of term.

If your child is already taking music lessons please ensure that the individual teacher or the music service knows whether they are continuing or not.

Please do not purchase an instrument without referring to the relevant teacher.  Some instruments are available to borrow from the school.

Full details of the lessons and contact details are attached to this newsletter.
