  GDPR COMPLIANCE

You will be aware that the new GDPR regulations come into force today.  In addition to the HWb permission letter and Pupil Data sheet you have already received, and hopefully returned, we are obliged to collect further permissions with respect to ParentPay communications and also certain websites and applications we use in school.  Your child has today brought home a form to be completed and returned to school as soon as possible please – morning Nursery will be given theirs after half-term.

If you require another copy there is one available to download on the school website as ‘GDPR letter’ under the ‘Parents Zone’ menu.

Under the same menu, within ‘Policies’, you can also read our latest Data Protection Policy and Privacy Statement.

NETBALL CLUB FINISHED FOR YEAR

There will be no more netball club after half-term.

PHOTOS AND SOCIAL MEDIA

The recent class photos will be available soon after half-term.

May we take this opportunity to remind you NOT to post photos of any child other than your own on any form of social media.  This applies to photographs taken at sports days, concerts and any other school or PTA event.

Some children are not permitted to have their photos taken in school at all, and we ask you to respect this as a safeguarding issue.

JUNIOR EUROVISION SONG CONTEST

If any parents think their child has a super singing voice, why not enter them into the Junior Eurovision Song Contest?  If your child is successful they will compete in the national final that will be shown on S4C on 25th November and may even get a chance to work with Connie Fisher who is presenting the show!  Follow this link for more information:

KEEPING OUR CHILDREN SAFE

May we remind all parents and carers not to prop open the Minehead Avenue gate?  This gate is on a timer to ensure that no-one can enter the school during the day other than through the main Burnham Avenue entrance.

Please help us to maintain our site security at all times.
