SAD NEWS
Mr Williams writes:
‘I have the difficult duty of sharing the sad news of the passing of Mary Chinn (Nana Chinn). Nana Chinn was a well-loved member of the Sully Primary School family, for many years volunteering her time every week to listen to pupils read. Generations of pupils and staff of Sully PS have benefitted from her kindness and generosity. She will be greatly missed by everyone in our school and the wider community. Our thoughts are with Nana Chinn’s family at this sad time.’

ANAPHYLAXIS RISKS
We have a number of pupils and staff with severe food allergies within our school. If they come into contact with certain foods, particularly those containing nuts, they are at risk of anaphylaxis. As a polite reminder, please do not provide your child with any foods that contain nuts, for example Nutella bars, certain cereals bars etc. Thank you for helping keep our children and staff safe.

SPORTS RELIEF DAY
We raised £288.40 on Monday. Thank you for your support!

NEW MENU
The new menu for after Easter is attached to this newsletter.

‘DATE DAYS’
Families in the Vale are being offered the chance to do something different together this summer as part of a pilot scheme being run by the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Creative Rural Communities Team.

The team are piloting ‘Date Days’ offering activities for school-aged children and their parents or guardians to try out together. These include French language classes, crafts, cooking, outdoor learning, relaxation, dance, circus skills and even military fitness sessions. As well as the chance to try something new, we hope it will offer a break from the stresses of everyday life and allow families to spend some quality time together. It could even be the start of a new lifelong family hobby!

Please see a poster attached to this newsletter. The activities are due to start after Easter so book now at www.creativeruralcommunities.co.uk/datedays.

PAIRED READING CANCELLED
There will be no Paired reading for Y1 children on Wednesday 28th March as the hall will be out of use. Please remember to pass the message to grandparents if they come along! Thank you.

If you would like to donate any cakes towards this event, please feel free to send them into school on the morning of March 26th.
