SPORTS RELIEF DAY

We will be supporting Sports Relief next Monday, 19th March,  by wearing our sports kit to school.  We suggest every child brings a donation of £1.

NATIONAL AUTISM AWARENESS WEEK – CAKE SALE

On March 26th we are hosting a cake sale to mark National Autism Awareness Week.  Mrs Alex Jones, a parent and midday supervisor, will be running the stall from the Junior playground (weather permitting – if not then it will be located in the hall) from 3pm.  All money from cakes sold will go towards the National Autistic Society.  If you would like to donate any cakes towards this event, please feel free to send them into school on the morning of March 26th.

BREAKFAST CLUB

May we remind the parents of children attending Breakfast Club that the doors open at 8.05am and there will be no admission after 8.30am.

Also, if you have a message for your child’s teacher, or information about a sibling who is absent, please do not ask the Breakfast Club staff to pass it on but inform the school office in the usual way.

‘EDUCATION BEGINS AT HOME’ CAMPAIGN

The ‘Education begins at Home’ campaign’s Facebook page has links to resources and useful information giving parents some great ideas about the little things they can do at home to make a huge difference to their child’s education.    Why not take a look on www.facebook.com/beginsathome or on Twitter @edubeginsathome, #readytolearn

LEGO CLUB

The newly-formed LEGO club meets in the Project Area on Tuesdays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, £2 per session.  Please contact Andrea Johns on 07899 813552 to register or for more details.

RWI MEETING

Mrs CT Williams would like to invite you to a meeting/workshop about the way phonics and reading is taught in Sully School Foundation Phase.

This meeting is aimed at parents of children due to start Reception in September (currently in Nursery) and Reception parents and any Y1 and Y2 parents new to Sully School.  It will help you to understand the teaching approach, how to blend, how to pronounce letter sounds and enable you to support your child in learning to read.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 27th March at 2.30pm in the school hall.

RELIEF MIDDAY SUPERVISORS REQUIRED

If any parent, or anyone you know, would like to be a relief Midday Supervisor, please let the school office know!
